Born in 1966 in Zimbabwe

Cosmas Dandajenah is a self-taught fine artist. His journey as an artist started at a tender age of eleven and through the support of his family, especially his father who was a performing artist. Has risen to become a force to reckon as an artist. Cosmas is married and a proud father of two daughters.

Cosmas specializes in fine art and textiles, his themes vary from human figures, portraits, Abstract landscapes to wildlife. He is so much inspired by nature.

In 1985 after obtaining an O'level certificate of education he was offered an in-house training as a textile artist. He later worked for a number of textile companies and rose to the position of Print Designer and shortly thereafter studio manager, a position he held until his retirement in 2002. It was then he started full time painting.

The year 2002 was challenging for him but he managed to sail through. Later that year he managed to get recognition from a number of galleries in Zimbabwe through which he sold a number of paintings nationally and abroad. He migrated to South Africa in 2007 in search of greener pastures. He is still plying his trade in South Africa.
