| Studies Completed School at Linden High, Johannesburg, Studied Commercial Art under Professor Robert Bain 1957 - 1958. A painter of landscapes and wildlife, works in oil and watercolour. Self-taught artist. Started painting at the age of 10. 1955 - First Public Exhibition at the age of 14 years, 18 September 1955, Johannesburg, RSA. Obtained 20 diplomas in 1955 at the University Art Festival, Johannesburg. 1956 - At the age of 16 years held an exhibition in Linden, Johannesburg. 1960 - Held an exhibition of Landscapes and Wildlife. 1960 - Commissioned to paint scene of Gold Mining Industry - African Museum for City Council of Johannesburg. 1962 - An exhibition of paintings opened by the Minister of Information's wife at the Greenwich Gallery, Rosebank, Johannesburg. 1962 - African Wildlife Exhibition held at the Everard Read Gallery, Rosebank, Johannesburg. 1963 - Commissioned by Mr. Norbert Erleigh, Gold Mining Magnate of Johannesburg to execute collection of Wildlife paintings. 1964 - Commissioned by Lord and Lady Lilleford of London to paint two Wildlife paintings. 1965 - Exhibition of Wildlife and Landscape paintings at Edrich Art Gallery, Stellenbosch opened by Prof. F.E.T. Malherbe. 1967 - Painting Prof. Chris Barnard - World Renowned Heart Surgeon. 1968 - Commissioned by SA Government to paint Military March-Pass of the 5th Centenary of the Republic of South Africa (size 6 x 12 ft) unveiled by the State President on the 5th December 1968, now hanging in the Military Academy, Pretoria. 1968 - Commissioned by S.A. Defence Force to paint Navy Frigate. 1969 - Commissioned to do series of paintings for Bester Construction Investments Co. of South Africa. United States of America 1970 - First South African artist to be invited by Kennedy Gallery, New York (African Wildlife) 1970 - Private Commission by Administrator of State of Transvaal, Mr. Danie Hough. 1971 - Commissioned by Transvaal Provincial Administration to execute large mural (6 x 12 ft). Now hanging in the Council Chamber Building. 1972 - Commissioned to do Wildlife painting for Head Office, Volkskas Bank, Pretoria. 1973 - Commissioned by Davenport Bank and Trust Co. of America to paint series of African Wildlife paintings. 1973 - Exhibition of African Wildlife paintings at the Sportman's Edge Gallery, New York City. 1975 - Commissioned by Davenport Bank and Trust Co. to paint Lion Painting for Niabi Zoo Board, and prints of Lion Painting sold for fund raising. 1975 - Represented South Africa in the International Wildlife Exhibition in San Antonio, Texas. 1975 - Invited by National Frost Bank, Texas to execute painting and visit Y.O. Wildlife Ranch and spend three days with moon-astronaut Guss Aldrin. 1976 – Commissioned to do painting for Art Collection Potchefstroom University. 1978 – Wildlife Exhibition in Midlands, Texas, presented by Nelda Poole. 1982 – Exhibition of paintings – Schweickerdt Art Gallery, Pretoria. 1984 – Commissioned by Mr. Sol Kerzner, Southern Sun Hotels to paint two Wildlife paintings for the King and Queen Suites – Lost City Palace Hotel. 1987 – Painted 8 large canvases for the South African National Parks Board, now to be seen in Kruger National, Head Office, Pretoria and Head Office – Cape Town. 1988 – Painted two very large canvases for Head Office of the South African Reserve Bank. 1989 – Commissioned by South African Reserve Bank to design New South African monetary coins presently in use.
1990 – Executed several exhibitions at Martin Koch Gallery with Robert Koch. 1990 – Commissioned by Anglo American Corporation to do painting for Mr. Osamu Nakamura, Hiroshima, Japan – Mazda Motor Corporation. 1991 – Embassy, Mexico – Embassy, Brazil, acquired paintings from gallery and several others to prepare new offices. 1993 – Commissioned to paint Wildlife painting for President Lucas Mangope of Bophuthatswana. 2000 – Exhibition in Dallas, Texas. Nelspruit 2003 – Exhibition in Dallas, Texas. 2005 – Robert, my son, and I presented two exhibitions in Kruger National Park.
