My painting is rooted in my love of nature; the heady fragrance of jasmine, light piercing through layers of green foliage, the smell of damp earth after rain. These sensory moments are some of the experiences and perceptions that give my life meaning and a sense of fullness. Along with other collected impressions and perceptions of the natural world around me, are what urge me to paint. 
I have no formal art training. I studied fashion design and went on to build my own handmade jewellery company, which I ran for 18 years. Around 2018, I began to paint and it took years of experimenting, exploring, and simply painting until I found my rhythm and my voice. Along the way, I have been fortunate to learn from remarkable artist mentors who helped me grow my practise. The most rewarding part of painting is the ongoing practise—staying curious, evolving, and letting the work deepen over time.
